Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What if I run into a problem during my scheduled rack time?
A: Please email to staff@ccierack.com immediately with a detailed description of your problem. ALL issues should include:
- Configs from both sides
- Print-outs and troubleshooting of the issue.
Our staff consists of two engineers who regularly monitor the emails and who can assist you with any rack issues. If the problem is determined by us to be a problem on our end then we will gladly reissue to you another rack time.
Q: Can I change my reservation time to another day?
A: Yes, but we require at least a 48-hour notice prior to your scheduled hours/day. Please email to staff@ccierack.com
Q: How do I become a Member?
A: Simply rent the lab rack for a combined total of 25 of the 6 hour rentals to become an official CCIErack.com Member. The additional information is well worth the effort, and you would also be allowed to ask any specific "lab-related" experience questions, provided we don't violate the Cisco NDA.
Our CCIErack.com Members have access to additional study material and "experience-related" lab study tips.

Upcoming Changes:
Effective January 1, 2006 all CCIE Routing and Switching lab locations will begin introducing the Cisco 3825 Integrated Services Router into the exam racks. These routers support Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and will eventually replace the Series 2600 and Series 3600 models. Along with the router change, the CCIE R&S lab will be upgrading the IOS to 12.3 mainline (for the Cisco 2600 and 3600 Series Routers), 12.4 mainline (for Cisco 3700 and 3800 Series Routers) and 12.2 for Cisco Catalyst 3550 switches.
